A mobile ad network typically serves one part of a two-part market model. The ad network is either a Supply Side Platform (SSP), or it is a Demand Side Platform (DSP). Demand Side Platforms allow advertisers to place their ads into mobile apps and games, while a Supply Side Platform allows developers and content creators to combine their inventory and make it available to advertisers.

from advertising that it can by selling the game, selling upgrades and unlocks,

Advertising is a massive multibillion dollar industry and it is growing. Why is it that the gaming industry does not want to captialize on this and grab a piece of that delicious money pie?
